Duvets... dual "all-seasons" vs standard "single"

We did have an all season and then a normal one or our spare bed. However we've changed now have a full 13.5 for winter and a 4.5 for summer (was a bargain from Tescos, Slumberland I think). The 13.5 was an expensive duvet, but the difference is amazing, I'd never have a all-seasons again. The 4.5 squeezed back into the size of a pillow for storage and we need the older all-seasons on our spare bed.0

I had an all seasons one once and I prefer just a single normal duvet. They are much more cosy.
We have a 13.5 tog and we use it all year round. In the summer we throw it off at night and use just a sheet. But there haven't been too many nights this year for that.0 -
We tried both ways and gave up. Blankets are much better. I can have two layers, she can have three and if you wake up too warm, simply fold one layer back. TBH, we now consider duvets the old fashioned way.

13.5 tog hotel quality duvet - 80% goose down 20% feather. Hardly money saving, but we saved on other things to buy one!0

We have 8.5 (or 9.5) Hungarian goose down I think. It's amazing, nothing better than being super comfy in bed!0

We started off with a 13.5 feather one which even for me as a chilly mortal was far too hot and we would wake up every night sweating. So we bought a 4.5 cheap summer one (polyester ?) which apart from one or two extra cold nights during winter is still warm enough for us all year round. For those nights we just keep a spare blanket available and that is more than adequate or we have the option of swapping our lightweight duvet over with the unused 10.5 one which we keep on the guest room bed.0

Hi Andy,We actually have two sets of all-seasons duvets as one is for the futon in the spare room so storing all these duvets is a bit of a problem!
Have you considered using those vacuum bags that squidge stuff down small? I think Lakeland do them, prob other places too.
I'm thinking of getting some to store my summer clothes (which mostly I haven't worn at all the last couple of carp summers). In fact I think I feel an internet shopping spree coming on!
Not sure if feather and/down quilts will go in them (well, they will go in, but not sure how good it might be for the down quilts), but some of ours are polyester waddingy stuff, so they'd go in fine.
