BBC are to transmit coverage of the world cup on freeview in HD according to their website.

Most computers are capable of displaying HD, but many old ones will struggle especially laptops.

Go to the microsoft media website and down load a demo or let it analyse your system to see if its capable. Mine is, and the hd clips look terrific.

I've been to their website and downloaded the demo clips and they do look good but my laptop spec, although it's only 6 months old, is way below the minimum spec for 720p. For example they want a 3.0Ghz processor minimum whereas mine is 1.6G Pentium M. But it still runs albeit the processor usage hits 90%.

Is there a utility for it to analyse the computer? I can't find it :o
