Vanguis Fraud Procedure.

Anyone help a Blonde in distress? :hello:

I had a call from Vanquis fraud department yesterday because they had been alerted to some suspicous transactions on my account. They have blocked the account and issued a new card but i need to clarify the procedure from here.

I always paid in full by DD so i have cancelled the DD in order to protect my main bank account in case they spent large sums of money which haven't yet hit the account. I am going to pay manually instead when my bill arrives but how does it work from here? They said they will send me a form to dispute any transactions i do not recognise but do i pay the whole bill then wait to be refunded, or do i just pay the transaction which were made by me? Will i still be charged interest if i don't pay for the fraudulent transactions?

One last question. Should i consider becomeing a Brunette instead? :A

I'd just pay the legitimate transactions. Once the other transactions are disputed they should be able to refund the interest incurred by them.

Exactly - will paying the legitimate transactions will be more than the minimum payment? If so, nothing to worry about.

I had the same happen to me recently. They stopped my card instantly but fortunately there were no fraudulent transactions listed when I called them. Got a new card and pin within a week. I wish they had online access. By the way what is your natural hair colour? I would go with that one.

going through the same process its been two months! ive still had no declaration and recieved no repsonse into what is going on, ive just written them a letter to ask whats going on and try to hurry things up. I am incurring interest from the fraudulent transactions. however im just paying what i know i owe. hopefully they will get this sorted soon! surely it shouldnt take more than two month?
  • maybe u should ring them???writing a letter going through the post doesnt guarentee they will get it... during this period your being charged interest??

My new card came today and it would appear that they declined the fraudulent transactions before they got through so they were only logged as "attempts". None of them have appeared on my statement so i have been lucky.

I found out my card was used to pay a phone bill for over £200.00 to a telephone provider in Arizona..... just 48 hours after i paid my landline phone bill to Virgin Media. Fishy or wot?

I had rang them, Four times in fact over the last two months only to be fobbed off with the same response. Thats why i had written a letter to them complaining about there lack of support and unergency to get this sorted out, i also threatened that id take it to a higher authority should i not be satisified with there response (if any) so we will see. And yes i am being charged interest
