Postage to overseas on a free P&P auction

I've just started listing on ebay after a couple of years off.
I've read the thread on enforced free P&P, because I was a little surprised when I came up against it.
I've got a video game on at £4.99 so I can still make money after paying for P&P.
Now I have two buyers from Russia and Hungary asking how much postage is to them.
What do I tell them (I've worked out the cost, do I charge them the whole amount?) and how do I add the money on afterwards?
Any help is very gratefully received because ebay has changed so much since I used to list!

You should deduct the UK postage from the airmail cost and quote that.0

You can either revise your listing and add a postage price for overseas (I think you have to click "add another service") or you can ask them to wait for a invoice if they win.
To invoice click on send payment details, and then you can put your postage cost in the postage box using the drop down menu.
Make sure you don't click recalculate on the invoice page, as this will set it back to £0.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

If you are prepared to ship overseas, I would personnally add the extra upgrade cost for the Airmail service to my listing so that its then very clear how much they will have to pay.
You can edit the listing and change the postage options. This will then stop you being bothered by other questions from overseas buyers too.0 -

Totally agree RM only have 3 rates Domestic, europe and rest of the world. So you only need 2 prices if the domestic is free. Also some customers really can't be bothered to ask for prices so you either lose the custom or they win and you end up having problems with the postage rates as they think you charge too much.0 -
I always list all my postage options as it is a lot less hassle.
So for some of my books for instance I have free UK postage (2nd class) but under additional services I have 25p for upgrading to 1st class, and 60p extra for Europe and lastly £2.26 for the Americas and Australia (The book I have just added to Turbo lister weighs 290g). The total cost to the Americas is actually £4.11 so take off the £1.85 for UK 2nd class postage and the difference is what the extra will be.
That way I don't have to worry about being online on the day my listings end. If a buyer wants to pay immediately they can just click 'pay now' and ebay do the rest.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thankyou, I just didn't expect there to be a demand for the game outside the UK, so hadn't bothered to put a price on there.
What's the deal on being offered a buy it now price before the end of the auction, I've been offered a deal on a lot I have up without a BIN option, is that within ebays rules to be asked that?Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
I sold a game with free postage and charged the full cost to ship to France. You dont have to give free international shipping and at least then you get to make some money on the saleWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

There is nothing to stop you charging what you want for overseas buyers, but of course taking extra profit by charging double in effect (taking into account some of the postage already factored into the start price) is not a wise move buyer satisfaction wise.
As you have had major issues with your various selling platforms I would have thought caution and keeping buyers happy and your stars up would be a wise move.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. That just happened to me, on my first seller listing. Adding a buy it now appears to be fine, provided there are no other bidders. You can also sell to the highest bidder at any time, apparently.
I suppose it might be an oblique offer to buy off site, (which obviously upsets ebay a lot), but as long as the sale goes via ebay, it seems to be OK. I added a BIN, and the buyer came to collect that evening.import this0
