With luck small independents will be a lot cheaper. Get the yellow pages out unless someone local can point you in the right direction. The big chains who work with insurers will be the most expensive option.

Check your insurance policy, it will usually have their recommended repair/replacement company listed, you just pay the excess of about £50.

Am in the northwest thanks for your help. Am not going to go through with insurance claim as am confident my pics will stand in court if we get there. and do not like the idea of fraud. I came on the forum as I hav no experience of these sort of things and have been grateful for all advise gleaned from others experience. Now to foot the bill!!Have to say have felt much more comfortable with this decision. even with the chances of being out of pocket . Thanks everyone.;)

that will be the 'new' mini
had it been an old one you could have got a screen from a breakers yard,
sadly the newer screens are all 'bonded' in

When referring to Minis, they're usually put into two categories- "old" minis being the classic small cars (see the original Italian Job) and "new" ones are the recent, much bigger, BMW incarnations...funky enough small cars in themselves- but nothing like the original Minis.
