Ways to use English Muffins?

I've found 12 English muffins in my freezer, like these ones, not the American cakey kind ;)

We're going to have some with poached eggs for brunch. Any other suggestions

I'm not much help to you Penny i'm afraid. We have 8 in the freezer too and I was jumping around to see this thread as I had no idea what to do with them lol.

We are going to have some for breakfast this morning. Egg and sausage (just like McDonalds :D) other than that, not a clue so I shall watch this thread with interest.

I use them every morning for breakfast. Ours have a sort of ready made split down the middle which you divide with a knife. I have 1/2 one (toasted) each morning with jam or marmalade after my cereal. Had them for a base for little pizza's too for DGS's lunch. Great to do under the grill.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Can you make pizza with 1/2 as the base, then spread with tomato puree and toppings?
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.

My family are huge fans of English muffins. We even have them on christmas morning with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon - bit extravagant for everyday OS though!

They're lovely toasted with cheese, or toasted and spread with cream cheese, bagel style, and also make great mini pizza bases.

Stale leftovers make good firm breadcrumbs - better than from plastic white bread.

    Not very MS, though :p

I like the idea of cream cheese and smoked salmon - will see if I can buy some salmon and then we'll have that for a weekend lunch :j

  • we LOVE muffins!!

I use them for little pizza bases, great for bacon/sausage and cheese breakfast muffins. The kids like them with peanut butter and banana in or a bit of chocolate spread. They are really nice with scrambled or poached eggs too.

I like them for lunch with toasted cheese and onion or tuna melt style. Great with cream cheese & cucumber or some oppsy smoked salmon!:D
