unfriendly MSE'ers - I am surprised

As a new addition to the boards for a few months now - I am getting addicted to the great money saving posts posted by a lot of MSE'ers.

However, having made some posts myself - I am a little miffed that they get ignored (people bypass my post to continue dicussion about something else) and people have not really answered any of my queries. I get no thanks or recognition that my posts are even contributed?

I did genuinely get the impression that most MSE'ers helped others with their money saving tips - but I seem to be excluded! Do I have to be a part of the gang for X amount of time and carry out an initiation ?!

Dont take it you heart you soft southerner (lol). Some chat areas seem so popular at the moment that if no one answers your thread and it falls off the bottom of page one then that's it.

I sorry your experience hasn't been a totally pleasant one so far but all I can say is sometimes posts are answered in a general ways not directly so although it seems sometimes you are ignored ,in fact your not

I'm sorry you feel excuded but can asure you that most mse'ers are a great friendly bunch and given time you will see that for yourself I hope .

I noticed that you have only been a member for a relatively short time and have made some 10 posts so far ,please test us a bit longer I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised and get to feel really at home here as lots of us do

As for the 'gangs',there aren't any ,not unless I'm excluded too and if there's ever an initiation I wanna be first ;D ;D ;D

Why don't you pop in the Arms sometime,have a virtual drink with us and get to meet others as well

Hi, sorry you feel we're an unfriendly lot. We're not really I promise. ;D

I've just had a quick squizz through your posts and to be honest, there's only one that seemed to require a reply and that was your Argos query.

You must understand that although you may be new to this particular topic, many many people before you have asked the same questions you have over and over again. So whilst that of course isn't your fault, you must see that by now people are really fed up writing the same reply and perhaps are not as helpful as they were when the thing first started. :-/

Perhaps it was just a bad day when you posted your query. Don't take it personally, no-one is deliberately trying to be unfriendly. If and when the next round of Argos stuff kicks off, you can be sure the thread will be full of info you can take advantage of then.

As for your other posts, they didn't seem to require a reply. An acknowledgement perhaps, but not a reply as such. I've made many more posts than you and I dread to think how many of mine have been totally ignored, lol. ;D

With respect, you've only made 10 posts. Is it not a little early to be complaining on the Vent board?

Dont get me wrong - this doesnt mean that I wont be visting the boards again. I will still a regular visitor - just a bit more quieter :-X

And you are all right - I suppose peeps are getting so carried away with their money saving that they cant reply to everyone.

Wont be taking it personally - I am just a keen money saver like the rest of you and its nice to be recognised when you are part of a great forum like this one. Thanks for the lovely welcome x

im pretty new to this board (compared to many) and i expect a lot to be like me. i dont want to give out information which i do not know is 100% correct. If there is something i think i can help with i will contribute but theres no point in me guessing an answer if it isnt helpful. Just stick at it..even though there are a lot of ppl on the board there is still going to be questions which no one can answer, and with a lot of sections and even more topics some posts do get missed out

i agree with whats been said so far and like aliasojo i also had a look through all your previous posts and agree with her comments.

We really are a friendly bunch and always give newbies a warm welcome, i'm sorry if ya havent felt part of the family so far, but im sure ya soon will do, the arms is always open, and anytime ya fancy popping in for a drink and a chat you'll find the atmosphere is always great, hope to see ya in there soon  ;) ;D :-*



p.s we may choose to carry out an initiation tho :P :P
