Just bought a property and now being chased for utility bill from previous occupants
Hi, this is my first time and really need some advice. I recently bought a property and as usual there was no forwarding address for previous occupants, so i did the "return to sender" routine with the post. I am being hassalled by nPower for a utility bill unpaid by the previous occupants. They are threatening legal action if the bill goes unpaid, i have sent proof to nPower that we purchased the property recently and the bill is for a period from last year to January of this year. How do i get them off my back? when it seems that all they are interested in is harrassing someone who has never held an account with them and now never will.

Welcome to the forum.
Write to their complaints department outlining the situation. Give them the name of the vendor's solicitors.0 -
many thanks for the reply, will do that and hopefully they will stop the chasing.0
