    I will try to explain, the Nissan Scrappage Scheme for cars that are 8 years old is not part of the Government Scrappage Scheme, it is a sales gimmick by Nissan, they do not even have to scrap your car under the scheme.

    Thank you for that explanation not so much for me as I knew it could be done but for the other dis-believers on this thread.

    One question what is wrong if they don't scrap my car?

    Nothing really, but is somewhat dishonest of Nissan to describe it as a " Scrappage Scheme " when it so no such thing, it is just a hyped up initial price to allow for a false part exchange figure so that the punter ( you in this case ) thinks that Nissan are actually giving them £2000 for a worthless banger.
