I don't think such an effect will work in Firefox or Opera so you're only doing it for your IE visitors only

(I can't go to 888.com with IE to see the effect because it's forbidden by one of my anti-spyware programs)

Yeah it's not something that is W3C compliant, and will only work in IE (or similar).
