travelling Eurostar to Paris - Where to stay overnight

Hi
I'm going to Paris by Eurostar in January. The train stops at Paris Nord.
Where is the best place to stay, in the Nord area or Central Paris. Should I travel to the Charles de gaule and find hotel there.
Also - where can I find hotels online, and reviews.

Thanks

I don't know what your budget is but there are many hotels within walking distance from Gare du Nord. Prices start around £59 for a 2 star. There is a very good Mercure Hotel near the station for approx £90 per room/night.

For more options go to www.hotelscombined.com

You can type the destination in the search box. If you want to try a different area in Paris, you could type in for example ' Bercy' and you will be shown the hotels in that area. The above website saves you a lot of legwork because it searches all the major hotel booking sites starting with the cheapest option.

    Hope this helps.

P.S. I recommend the hop on hop off open top bus tour. It is a good way to familiarize yourself with the city.https://www.carsrouges.com
  • Are you catching a flight from Paris Charles De Gaulle airport? If so I would take a train (RER?) out to the airport and use an airport hotel. It's quite a distance from the city centre, probably 45 mins or so.

Airport hotels generally have shuttle busses to and from the terminals at regular intervals. tripadvisor.com will have all the hotel reviews you need.

Not airport. I'm just going for 2 days for me wifes Birthday. And we're gonna be tourists, so any hints or recommendations welcome.
Budget wise - less than £100 a night.
    thanks
