Are you with AOL by any chance? If yes, check that you've set the MTU to 1400 on your router.0

Are you 100% sure this is a router problem.
could it be down to a software firewal that is blockingthe sites..
i have known this to happen with sygate personal firewall in the past0 -
problem sorted thanks for some reason the settings had been changed on the router now my next prob is how do i make my router secure? as i know my neighbour has recently gone wireless don't know if that could have changed my settings0

To make it secure set up a simple wep key, If you login to your router there should be an option to do it! This code will have to be enterd on all the computers you want to use the wireless on

What is the model no. of your router?
If your router supports it, you can Set Up Wireless Connections and Security Using SecureEasySetup™ (SES).
Otherwise, access the router's config pages by clicking http://192.168.1.1 and look on the wireless settings page. Enable WPA-PSK encryption (more secure than WEP) and use a random password from https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm.0
