Help! Excel problem since downloading Martin's budget worksheet

Options
I downloaded Martin's budget worksheet the day before yesterday. Since then I have only been able to view one spreadsheet file at a time. If I open another I can't see it anywhere but I can't open it again as it says it is open.

I need to be able to open multiple spreadsheet files and see the 'tags' on the bottom of my screen so I can flick from one to the other when doing accounts and budgets. For example at the moment I can see I currently have open an excel spreadsheet, my inbox in Outlook Express, and 2 word documents and Internet Explorer (here).

I am currently trying to do my work end of year accounts for last year and can't until I have this sorted :(

Can anyone help please? It has obviously changed something to the way the budget worksheet was set up. I had to reset my toolbars etc as well but I managed that bit. I've tried Excel help but to no avail as it just mentions viewing multiple sheets in one pane which isn't what I want.
I live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.

  • Can you give the link to Martins Budget spreadsheet. I'll see if the problem is replicated on my PC ..... might then have a better idea of the problem.
It has taken about 4,500,000,000 (4.5 billion) years for the Earth to form as it is now .........
and it'll only take about another 100 years for mankind to really **** it up!!!!

    Try

    Tools, Options, View Tab

Look for "windows in taskbar", make sure its ticked.

This is in Excel 2003, but it should be similar to other versions.

If this isnt it, you can switch between sheets using the Window menu. Click Window in the taskbar, and it should list all open spreadsheets.

Brilliant thank you. :D I knew it must be something likely taskbar related as the other things were but just couldn't find it :o

Thanks for the offer G.O.D. but I'm all sorted :)
