OK, some progress.
I've just downloaded the land registry data for all 9 flats and the 3 houes, two documents for each due to a mapping line down the middle, so about £50 worth. From this I've pieced together who owns what. Noone else is shown as owning my garage. The woman at 28 is shown correctly, as is my next door neighbour.
There are actually 3 out of the 7 garages unaccounted for so far.
Either way, I'm now confident that no other flat/house is shown as owning the garage.
I located the previous tenant via b4usearch and he originally lived about 1/2 mile away. I phoned that location and it was his parents and they were pretty helpfull. I'm going to phone him tonight to ask which parking space he was allocated when he rented it.
Meanwhile, I'm pondering calling the vendors directly. Ideally I want to gauge their honesty. I'm not sure whether I should do this though.Happy chappy0
