I think the promotion is running in Scotland in the Daily Record instead.

The guy in rsmccolls wasnt too keen to give me the lego today

What are these people like?
I have to say I collected the Jacqueline Wilson books from Martins a few weeks back and they were great. The first day I tried to buy two papers because I wanted two books and the guy told me I only needed to buy one and he'd still give me two books. Then on about the fourth day he gave me some from the previous days too. I ended up with three of some books!

We'll be sending off for them, bit reluctant to two lots of £8.99 (two kids) but there's no way I can get to the shops everyday.

Well, this morning I thought I'd give my lady another chance......rather than prompt her, I'd wait and see if she offered it to me.

    Nope.....nadda....zilch.

Just stood there staring at me. I was like 'Can I have the lego please'......she gives a big sigh.......and eventually passes it to me as though she was doing me a huge favour! I tell you one thing, once this promotion is over, I'll be avoiding this store, they don't deserve my custom!!

    GRRR!

Totally know what you all mean-I wish I had just started collecting the vouchers. I went into WHSmiths yesterday (At about 1pm) and took my paper to the till. She put it through and asked for the money, so I asked for the lego. She replied "No Lego left" - the SA next to her said "We need a sign to say there's none left!" to which my SA replied "I know, I'm getting fed up with people asking me for lego."

Just collected the last of the 7 vouchers you need to send off for the whole set via the post and posted it, with the cheque. It says subject to availability, so can you only hope that it works on a first-come-first served type basis??!

i was in town the other day and was passing WHsmiths. I arent collecting the lego in store as its too much hassle, but whilst i was in the queue waitng to pay the guy in front of me collected his lego, to which the SA said oh your lucky i only have 2 left, if you'd come in 5 minutes later i'd be sold out. Another shop assistant walked up to the till saw i had the paper gave me a real dirty look and said to other SA - can you keep 1 of todays lego's to one side for me i'll just go get my paper.

My DF overheard this and started to speak rather loudly about staff queue jumping / favouritism and she should be working not shopping to which i went bright red.

Anyway it's my turn to pay and collect my lego so i want to see what the SA does.

I hand her my paper, glance to my left and there is the other SA giving me another dirty look. She says, i only have YESTARDAYS lego left.

To which i reply i have that one already i want todays, you said to the guy in front you had 1 more left. She begrudgingly bent down to get it and i said - your lucky i dont want it as im posting them off so you can give it to your friend. :p I glance to the left again to see the SA give me half a smile through gritted teeth.

To which the woman standing behind me said - i dont think so, im next in the queue it belongs to me, and if i dont get it i'll be asking to speak to your manager, :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

(posted of my cheque today too)

Make the cheque payable to 'MGN Ltd' and the address is:

    Mirror LEGO Offer
    PO Box 400
    WASHINGTON
    NE38 0YD

You'll need to send a Collector Coupon though in addition to the 7 vouchers.
