I second sooz ...not even worth a trip to the shop for the box.....you are much better off finding something of your own to use to stash the lego.;)
I always stop collecting when the lego stops....I don't even bother with

the stickers anymore...by that time I am also so fed up with buying the

Mirror and reading about Jordan's latest bustup that I quit while I can;)

The guy in rsmccolls wasnt too keen to give me the lego today, I asked him if I could pay for the paper then leave it with him and just take the lego and he said its either paper or no toy. Tried to tell him I was paying for paper but as I dont read papers I didnt want it and could put it back on shelf for someone else to buy. In the end just told him I will put it in the bin outside but he was really uphappy about giving me the lego!!

It's a shame they're like that aren't they.....the woman at my store is dire!! Seriously acts as though she is giving me the lego from her own pocket each day (maybe she is....maybe they get to keep the leftovers?!)

She should be happy....I am going into her store (which I never do) to buy a paper (which I would never normally buy!). I am her customer only because of this promotion.

So now, every day I go in there, grab the paper, go to the counter, run the gauntlet of the 'you want £1 haribo or galaxy' - and simply smile and say - 'No thanks, just the lego please'.

She never offers it, and unless I asked, you wouldn't even know they had it.

    Sorry, that's a bit of a rant isn't it.....oh well...I feel better now :)

I know exactly how you feel!! Same guy everyday and he knows Im only there for the lego offer yet never offers it to me, always waits for me to ask for it! Iv just been taking the paper home and putting it in the bin, so thought I would be nice and leave it for someone else to buy and for the shop to make an extra 40p on it! There is probably alot of people who buy the paper anyway and dont take the lego as they have no need for it but yet because of the promotion the papers sell out faster and people may miss out on it!
Oh well, I will be glad when I dont need to go in the shop again lol. Well untill the next promotion lol

the lizard is so cute! We got him from a motorway service station, bought 2 papers because my mum likes lizards too. It was late at night, can't remember when exactly but after 9pm so that might be an option if anyone is desperate. Paying the postage is probably cheaper though, than petrol to chase after individual figures.

The packet says age 5+ on both the lizard and the tractor.

    Hi all
I started collecting yesterday but i missed saturday and sunday's toys. My local toysrus got the toys but said they needed vouchers from those days. Does anyone have any spare ones or know where can i get some?

Try going to a less popular WHsmiths - like one of the travel ones rather than the high street stores and just ask if they have any of yesterday's lego left (when you are buying today's paper of course). I did this today as we were'nt able to get out yesterday and was happily handed two of the lizard sets as well as today's steam roller.

When I buy my copy of the mirror (which I actually usually buy anyway!!!) the shop just gives me the lego with my change - they don't even ask if I want it.
