Advice needed! 1st family holiday - Spain or Greece?

You'll love Puerto Pollensa it is a lovely resort. This was the resort we picked for our first holiday abroad with our two children (then aged 4 and 2) and it was ideal. We loved Majorca so much we've been back twice since!! I would recommend you hire a car if you can and get out and about and see the island. It is so beautiful, particularly the mountainous northern coastline. Whilst the beach is fab at Puerto Pollensa, it would be a shame not to see or do anything else.

p.s We've been to Majorca in the summer hols and also end of May and we did find it a little cool for the beach on some days when we went in May - still OK for a paddle though!!

Standards of hygiene are very high generally across Greece. European toilets across the board tend to be whiffier than we're used to, due to plumbing issues and hot climates, but I've spent many holidays in different parts of Greece over the years and whilst there may always be the unfortunate exception in any country, hygiene-wise I've always found the Greeks to be extremely particular.

I would be sad if your remark gave people the wrong impression of this fabulous destination!

Couldn't agree more- and add to that the Greek's love of children, and fabulous food...

I'll stop before I end up getting the credit card out :rotfl:
