Easiyo on offer

I make soya yoghurt, but I use the other Lakeland yog maker. I also strain it through fine plastic mesh for a day in the fridge, and it makes lovely soya cream, which is brilliant on toast or teacakes with jam, or as a savoury on top of marmite on toast. The mesh thingy came with it from Lakeland, but I haven't seen any for sale in years. I'm looking round to buy some cheese muslin or something to replace it... Any ideas anyone? Thanks0

I'm sure people have just been using the standard baby muslins. You can buy them cheaply from places like tesco/asdaOLYMPICS CHALLENGE :Win £2012 in 2012: 0/£2012

I don't strain mine. I use just under a cup of milk powder instead and this makes it quite thick. I also tend to add around a desert spoon of sugar, but that's just personal preference.
I wouldn't be without my easiyo.0 -
QVC also sell Easyo - not sure how the prices compare. Looks cheaper, but you need to take account of P&P.

Or this company - who look like they have a bigger range. (But look a bit expensive). Free postage over £50. Can't see me spending £50 on Easyo!

Thanks to everyone on this thread :T
I'd seen the easiyo yoghurt maker before but was always put off by the cost of buying the sachets etc.
However, having read this thread I decided to take the plunge.
I bought the half price Easiyo from Lakeland, paid 29p in Morrisons for a small pot of organic yoghurt and used two large spoonfuls with a litre of UHT milk.
I opened it this morning and I now have some lovely thick yoghurt (although I am straining it in the fridge at the moment to make it even thicker). Again, advice from here on using a strainer with kitchen paper to take out the excess liquid.
Thank you all - I'm looking forward to eating it later today.0 -
I can't find the huge Easiyo thread so I'm flagging it here that Holland & Barrett are now selling it online. The yog maker is "on offer" but I don't know if it's particularly cheap; the sachets are not on offer. If you sign up for H&B's newsletter you would be notified when they do have special offers - and their delivery charge is only £1.99. http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product.asp?bid=390&cm_mmc=Cheetah-_-p7_w24_easiyo_react_pod-4-_-banner-_-aesiyo&afid=81&safid=16343&sc=16343&showAll=true veronarona

I don't live near a lakeland. The holland and barrett store in the town here doesn't stock the sachets either, they looked at me as if I'd gone out when I asked them. Silly me I never thought of making it from UHT milk. Next time I'm going to have a go at that. I've run right out of sachets. I'll get some more next week when I go into another town nearby. Would the greek yogurt be the same if I used a spoonful of that in the milk, does anyone know:oI get paid to smell great :j0
