Gig tickets caught in post strike-what to do?

Hello,

Ages ago I purchased gig tickets for this Wednesday 28th October, from gigsandtours.com who said they would dispatch them as soon as available to them. I kept tracking my order in recent weeks and online it shows they dispatched them Wednesday just gone, the 21st Oct. I am very worried that due to the postal strike they will not arrive in time and I'll be out of pocket and not able to see the gig :( Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do? Also, is the strike still on does anyone know?

Personally I feel the company could have used a courier service or something knowing that postal strikes are happening and the gig was 7 days from despatch date, I'd have happily paid a few pounds more to be sure I got them.

Many thanks, Sarah

If they are standing tickets they will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery (next day). This premium service shouldn't be affected but there could be a very very small chance it might.

If they are seated then yes, this company will send them out 1st Class recorded. If that the case, call the company and get them to cancel the tickets sent and collect them from the box office on the night for reprinted ones. This is usually a standard procedure when tickets don't arrive.

I'd do this 48hrs before the concert if still not received. Not just yet

You won't be the only person in this position.
Follow sb65's excellent advice and enjoy the gig!

Does anybody know if MEN ARENA in Manchester accepts letters of authorsation.
I bought two tickets for Green Day for 31/10 from seetickets and they haven't been dispatched yet. I can't go now because of work committments and sold them on ebay for face value. Do you think the person that bought my tickets will be able to pick them up without my credit card.

Thanks for the info - Im waiting for Muse tickets standing ones to arrive for a gig in 2 weeks time off Ticketmaster. Does say Ive paid £4.95 delivery but Im getting worried they have not yet been dispatched. Really hope they arrive this week! I know other Muse fans who have not yet had their tickets - one persons were dispatched 10 days ago by see tickets and have yet to arrive.

Be glad to get my tickets - if Id of got standing ones it would of been easier as Im near the NIA in Birmingham next week and could of collected them from the box office.

Suzey1 - hope you get things sorted.
