  • Doctors and medical workers are also covered by medical indemnity to cover them from mistakes/ being sued etc, i doubt it actually would cover them working in an emergency situation such as in a makeshift hospital. I will bet my bottom dollar none of them have come home refusing to help if they were cought up in the tsunami worried about being sued.

    ............and if you've just had a leg amputated and the only drugs (analgesics/antibiotics) available are slightly out of date.............which doctor/nurse or patient is going to refuse them?
