What address to put on application?

I am living in a flat, have been since April, and will be here for another year at least.
I am paying council tax at this address.
My bank details, car insurance, everything really, are still all registered at my folks house.

Am I best to still us e their address for applications, as I was staying there for avor 20 years, or use this new address? How much bearing on the application does a change of address have?

Cheers.

Use the one you're registered on the Electoral Roll at.

If this isn't your folks' house, then appeal any rejection citing the additional information you've provided in your post.

Normally, it's where your credit history 'lives' that counts.

Btw, there's nothing to prevent you from being on the electoral roll at both addresses, though you can't vote in both locations, obviously.

Really? I thought you could only be on one?!
Just told my folks a couple of weeks ago to take me off it...can I get them to put me back on and then register here?

You can, but not at this time of year...as far as the reporting to the CRAs are concerned.

The next update will be sometime after 1st December (as we're in the annual canvas period now).

In light of what you've said here, I'd apply at your folks' address.

Yes. Provided that your parents do this before the Mid-November deadline, the next update published on 1 December 2009 will show only this most recent amendment ;)

If your bank, credit cards etc have your parents' address, I'd usethat one on cc applications.
