What will yo be using the monitor for? Gaming?
Don't always be fooled by low response times, or technical specifications. The best thing to do is either read reviews from magazines and online, or go to a shop and have a look yourself.

What kind of budget do you have?
If you have around £250, then this is a great monitor:

Look for a 3 year warranty, preferably "on-site". You can afford a decent 19" LCD. This one looks decent http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/78604/rb/19326651196 and comes with free shipping and a good warranty. Whatever you end up choosing, make sure the response time is 16ms or below and that contrast ratio is 500:1 or higher. Good luck!0

I've just bought one of these. So far so good and the best price I've spotted as well.
There is this one that's a tenner less:

I saw those xerox monitors in pc world, not 100% sure they were the same model but look similar, and i must admit the glass front makes them look very sexy!I'm better off without you.0

I would recommend getting a 19" LCD monitor for that price :-) Also use this guide as it will help you with all the specs ect!

Sexy alright (in a tft type of way). Saved a load of desk space and got rid of the PC speakers. The monitor also tilts 90 degrees and you can view it that way !! (if you video card supports that). It can also swivel left right, up down.0
