Court fee remission and forms. Total cost of BR is currently £510...you could get the court fee back but still need to pay the OR's fees sadly NO discounts on that

Well epkk, I hear you. I guess if you've sought free professional advice and know you have to go bankrupt then you could stop paying non essential payments like credit cards or loans in a way to save the money.
  • Its worth remebering that if you are taking a benefit entitlement letter to claim the £150 court fee remission, the letter must be dated within a month of your BR date

If you look at Phils links you will see one headed 'Possible help with BR costs' check that one out as well.

Also go to your local CAB they might know of a local charity that can help.

I actually have no such payments, therefore can't save the money.
I have spoken to National Debtline and are in the process of sending out all the relevant information.
They also gave me a Charity that might help out with fees, turn to us .org

Anyone know of them and how good are they?

    Thanks everyone for your help

Not one I have come across before but if NDL have recommended them they should be ok. Let us know how you get on with them as it is always good to have new places to add to the help with fees list.

    This is them http://www.turntous.org.uk/

National Debtline are fab. I once got through to an advisor who was not very nice with her attitude but we all have off days I guess. The rest of my conversations were lovely, friendly and very informative. The pack they send you contains a lot of information, you'll feel much more clued up once you've waded through it.

I've just looked on the turn to us site and will take action and see where i get with them.
Plus the guy a spoke to at NDL was very helpful and just hope the Postal Strike doesn't hold up my pack to much as I really want to get the wheels rolling. I did intially email them but couldn't wait, so im happy I phoned them now. :)

I believe most of their info packs are available on their website. I think it is nicer to have the info in your hands to read and write all over, but if you get bored during the postal strike it may be worth a look.
