The same phenomenon happened to my Barclaycard some months ago. I regarded it as a one-off bonus at the time, but if you have "0% on purchases" card such as Barclay or Sainsbury then the building up of debt is as good as a balance transfer and it should be maxxed-out as soon as possible for full benefit. The 2 or 3% monthly minimum monthly repayment only serves to reduce the returns.
Having said that, I suppose the people at Argos might get suspicious if you keep returning ever higher-value items each month....0
