Natwest Online Banking down?

It appears to be down. Anyone else trying to log in?

Any reason why and when it will be up?

Natwest banking online appears to be up now.

Also, be aware guys that I have received my fair share of phishing emails posing as 'natwest banking', so be on your guard.

Thanks will nip out later and see if i can get some cash (shame its too late for lunchietime)!
  • I went into the bank earlier as I thought this was a problem with my account. They could give you cash over the counter as long as it wasn't much you were after. They said you couldn't even use your card to pay for stuff in shops! Obviously a big problem! A lot of other cash machines in Newcastle weren't working too....not sure if it was somehow related?

I attempted to withdraw £50 from a Natwest cash machine yesterday lunchtime and my card was returned. I've just been doing my online banking (I'm not a Natwest customer) and noticed that the £50 withdrawal is showing even though I did not get my money!

Just called my bank who say they will report it but it could take 28 days to reclaim the cash. I was worried I'd been scammed but just found this news story

Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas whether I can get my money back? Or is this another way of the banks taking more money off us

Calm down dear. ATMs are complex mechanical machines with a bunch of clever computational whizzardry thrown in. They're very realiable, but they sometimes have issues. Get in contact with the bank, they'll probably ask you to fill out a form, they'll investigate.
