Hey Lynz - not really much to say today but just checking in to add my support. I'm awake feeling hot and bothered so god knows how you've been feeling. In fact, it just tried to rain for all of, ooooh, 30 seconds so that will help to clear the heatwave.

    Chin up hun x

Hi Lynz, checking in just like everyone else! How's the oH's temping/agency hunt going? Are you still collecting the sun holiday vouchers as I found a joyous loophole allowing you to make multiple bookings on one set of vouchers last night (see grabbit bored). I was so proud of myself for finding it that I rushed straight on here to tell alll the DFWs. What a cool and exciting life I lead!

If you could find the right cure, the cost would be an investment because it would allow you to return to work.

Im sorry to hear that Lynz. Would gladly lend you some money if I could or give it to you but I know you dont like charity and borrowed money adds to your debts anyway. Changing the subject slightly, I'm so angry, I have to tell someone. I just looked on Internet banking. Yesterday, I looked at my bank account and noticed that the account had gone over the overdraft limit of £1000. This was because it had taken longer than usual for a transfer to come through from another account to pay a bill and also because we have been owed £668 pounds by Nationwide for 3 weeks (which we have only just received.) The account was in credit on the 24th but the mortgage payment went out on the 25th and this other bill as well. I was expecting the credit to be in so wasnt too worried but it didnt arrive till today. However when I saw this (at about 10 last night) I immediately transferred £650 into the account from the other account attached to this one. This money was sitting waiting for another credit card bill to go out today so I thought i would temporarily transfer it over then transfer it over today to avoid charges. However when i looked this morning theyve charged me £30 debit commission and the account was overdrawn on the overdraft for less than one day. I did the transfer before midnight but it says that transactions after 6pm will be dated the following day. I am really annoyed and have written them a nasty letter but I doubt i'll get it back because last time i wrote to them they said i'd had too many refunds and they werent going to refund any more money to me. I am so so annoyed to lose £30 like this. I know we're not struggling like you, but we are still struggling in our own way, and dont have any money to spare at all. So mad that the bank has taken it. Sorry, I just had to have a rant.

Im also annoyed because that flat we had last year that we lost money on, Gravesham Council keep sending us a council tax bill for £1014. We paid everything up to date when it was sold and i sent them a long letter explaining all this and that we dont own it anymore but now theyve totally ignored my letter and sent us another bill for that amount: reason: liable party:mad: So Im feeling a bit frustrated today. How are things going regarding your move. When are you going to put the flat on the market. Its the autumn isnt it? Can you not think about moving a bit sooner than that?

Lynz - what sort of temp work is your OH looking for (sorry, have not read the full text of this thread)? There are a couple of vacancies in my office, albeit mostly for reprographics operators. Would these be relevant?
