Hi,
Does anyone know a good credit card provider for a 0% balance transfer. The debt is already on a 0% Virgin credit card.
My friend is a married woman who is on a low income, but her husband is well paid, although she doesn't want to get the card in his name. She is a named owner of their house.
Thanks

The M&S &more card in-store application form only asks for 'household income', ie not sole income. She will, however, have to disclose her (true!) occupation and employment status.
It only offers 0% on BTs for 6 months with a 2.9% fee, but there's a loophole involving Sterling travellers cheques which provides for a psuedo 10 months 0% BT for only a 1% fee.0 -
Hi Yorkshire Boy,
Can you tell me anything more about the psuedo Sterling cheques loop hole?
Thanks,0 -
Is it definitely not counted as a cash transaction?0

This card treats M&S travel money, bought from an M&S bureau de change (online/telephone/in-store) with your &more card, as a purchase.
As such, existing cardholders get up to 55 days interest free. New customers, however, get 10 months interest free.
Done it twice myself, for £8K+ each time. Would go for another bite now, but can't really make enough of a stoozing profit to make it worthwhile with savings rates so low at the moment.
