Re:Ebay help again

I need help!!!
Maybe Soolin may be around ???
Sorry about this! I am a private seller (just selling all my old stuff!) Anyway this is where I need help, I sold a pair of trainers, it says on my listing that I don't accept returns, anyway I listed that they were a size 4 as per what it says inside the trainer, but I put on the listing that I was a size 5 & they fit me.so I would say that the size isn't running true!! but I am happy to answer questions. Anyway the person recieved the items says they are too big as they are a 4 & wants a refund for the item plus the p&p for buying & sending back!! What do you think is the best way forward!!!
I am happy to refund, for what they paid, but I don't want to have to pay the return p&p am I being reasonable??
Thanks
G

Do not send them back, you put ample information in your listing stating that they were a 4, but fit a 5! do not take a return, its down to the buyer to check the listing before purchasing :)

  • Though if they took this to a dispute/claim they would probably win i reckon. Id just accept them back and send a second chance offer. Though some will probably disagree with me, its what id do

They would, but they would be expected to pay for the p+p to return them.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

So, do you think I am being fair, by saying that they can send them back to me in the condition they recieved them & on reciept of them being returned to me I will give them a refund on what they paid me, however I won't pay for the return postage?? Is that fair??

    Thanks

I would send them a polite message saying your listing was clear about the size and the actual fit, and leave them to open a disput.

You can respond to the dispute stating that your listing was clear that the trainers had a 4 label in them, but fitted a size 5.

If you lose the dispute, they will have to send them back tracked delivery, and you then refund them initial postage and cost. They pay return postage.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I bought some shoes in my 'normal' size, which are a bit too big. It didn't even occur to me to try and get a refund, because it's up to me to check what size I am in that brand. If your description said they were a large 4 then I don't see the problem. Ebay and paypal, however, are a law unto themselves.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

As far as I can see, but then I'm not the one who's going to be leaving you feedback. ;)
