Hello
I have has Vanquis card and have had it for about 3 years it has not been used for about 1year and 6 months but i am always over drawn and am constantly being charged, i am trying my best to make the payments to pay the card off but find this hard as i get charged 36 pounds almost every month, would like to try and claim these charges back but no sure if that is possible any advise would be helpful
Thanks

What is your balance? What is your limit? What is your APR?
Unfortunately I find myself saying all too often, the Vanquis card should never be used for spreading the cost of purchases. Their standard APR is massive, and they have a habbit of rate-jacking aswell.
The vanquis card should only be used, IMO, in conjunction with a DD for the full amout each month...
Unfortunately, you have racked up a debt on the highest APR credit card in the country, and now you are having to pay the price.
My other half is being charged £60+ a month interest on his Vanquis, and he only owes about £1150. I warned him... but... well.
All you can do is make sure never to spend a penny on the card again (call them and ask them to close the account) and pay it off at a rate you can afford to.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Oh right not bad then.
So the account can't have defaulted if you are still being charged interest - all you can hope to do is clear the balance as quickly as you can and make darn sure you don't use the card ever again!
How much can you afford each month, assuming you don't use your credit card for any purchases, from your spare income?
Set up a standing order, rip up the card, and let it take care of itselfCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
