I have lists for lists:rotfl: I have all the xmas presents done, all the hampers done, all the glitches at boots done, all the xmas table decorations done, lists on the computer of the food to buy the alcohol needed the cost of it all done:rotfl: been every single xmas eve for the turkey and never went without one, the shops always order too many and it is just a question of waiting, I have previously bought one and then also gone on xmas eve and got a reduced one so I get two one for xmas/boxing day and then the other for NYD but much cheaper:D
My OH loves loves, loves the salmon from m&S if I did not get that he would be most unhappy:D

I thought i was the only nutter that did loads of lists :rotfl:

  • In fact M&S do discount food to customers, usually by around 50% but quite late in the day and only for stock which date expires on that day. Since most stores are closed for 2 days at Christmas the plan is to let the stock sell out as far as possible. You are taking a big gamble leaving it until late on Xmas eve.

but then we moved tried this Waitrose and the manager was very shirty and all the gathered crowd told them he was not going to reduce it by much he would rather give it away to his staff than 'give it away to us'

I actually agree with the manager here.

Its a great idea getting cut price bargains, but what if you don't get what you "need" for xmas:eek::eek::eek::eek:

my local markies are always reducing prices. like previous poster said late in the day, usually around 3.30pm just in time for me to pick my son up from nearby school. i just go around the store looking for the bright yellow stickers.

Breahead Glasgow also reduces around 5.00pm. The yellow stickers are great to spot, however the store is usually "hoaching" at that time. I wonder if there is a connection:p:p
