Hello everybody :-)
I really want to get my little boy swimming he is 3 and a half with special needs. His needs are such that he has extream sensory processing problems and gets freaked out in new environments. I would like to hire a small swimming pool privately for an hour weekly to enable me to get him familiar with the water without to many other distractions around.
I know there is one in Worthing called Henry house but other than that can any help me find a private one to hire?
There is one in Barns green but I cant seem to find any contact details for it. I am willing to travel 25 miles from the littlehampton area of west susex.
Many many thanks.

I know some of the Brighton schools with swimming pools will hire them out at weekends and holidays - perhaps you could try a local school that has a pool?working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

When my son was a baby I took him to Little Dippers in Uckfield.
They hold lessons all over the place and certainly in Brighton now.
It might be worth giving them a call as they hire pools for the lessons and might be able to point you in the right direction.
We used a hydrotherapy pool which was lovely and warm.
That sort of thing would probably be ideal for your little one.
Hope that helps.
Good luck.0 -
This place is in Newick http://www.mitchelswoodfarm.com/swimming/frameset.html0

You can hire the small training pool at littlehampton swimming centre - looks like it's £70 an hour though. http://www.arun.gov.uk/assets/lssc/lssc_opening_hours.pdf
Or there looks like there's a pool a bognor where you can do private hire:

Some of the larger swimming complexes hire out their small pools for parties etc so you could try ringing some on that list to ask? Or else, as I said, a school might have a smaller pool that you could hire in holiday/weekend time.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Or this in Haywards Heath www.floaters.co.uk/public-hire0

If you can get along to your local pool when the swimming lessons are on you may be able to get to talk to the instructors, many will do private lessons and will know which pools are available.
This is how I found an instructor for my very nervous mum, she took private lessons with my son's swimming instructor. They'll quite often hire a pool our for a whole evening and run private lessons throughout.
