I am looking for a childrens account with internet access.
I know that there are a few out there for over 7s with this type of access, otherwise you the child must have a passbook
My son is 4 and we wanted to make it a regular weekend trip to pay money in, and for him to then see the money has gone in by viewing his a/c on the internet at home....never too young to start understanding saving!!

Hi,
I am not sure on the rate but my mum opened a kids account for my 4 year old with A & L, which has a passbook which we take to the bank and pay money in then when I was helping her with her internet banking for her other accounts, my daughters account being in her name as its in trust or whatever it is until she's 7, well we managed to register that account onto mums online banking so we could view the balence of my daughters account.
I know also that when I had a Nationwide account for her, I was at the time banking with the Nationwide myself it automatically showed the kids account when I signed on to online banking.
Hope this helps.0 -
I can view my kids accounts online via the halifax, and these are the only halifax accounts I have.
We made the mistake a few years ago of telling them they had these accounts and what the balance was. Next thing we knew they were asking for money from it so they could have this or that. We have since not told them anything about the accounts for the last 4 years or so and they now have no Idea how much is in there but they are aware the we do have an account for them that we put a little bit into each month.0
