Friday 23rd Oct - What small DFW things have you done today?

Hi everyone :hello::hello:
It's Friday! Wohoo! :j:D:j:D
Basically tonight and this weekend OH and I are sorting out our new flat. Still got things to put away. Whilst doing this I need to find my keys (if I can't find them get new ones cut) and look for savings account number so I can do my tax return. (I am right in thinking that I have till the end of Jan to do my tax return online arn't I? It's only a small one but I can't find one of my savings account numbers to get in it where all my tax money is saved!).
Need to go food shopping and be MSE as poss, i'm sure we will get some things we shouldn't too
Need to get petrol and drive as economically as poss.
Do some washing and hang up to dry.
Anything else MSE.
Won't be able to come on here at weekend though as computer not set up at home yet.
I want to get a diary and write in it each day what I have done money making wise to keep me motivated, but I think I have missed all of the half year ones. I had a big plan to keep me motivated. Could get a normal note book but I don't know if it will work the same and keep me as motivated. I don't really have time to come on everyday and do a diary on here. Any one else got any other ideas? I keep trying things, then I slack for a while and always come up with a reason why.
Also I keep thinking of ringing a restaurant about evening work and keep putting it off because I again keep coming up with reasons not to like being busy alot so I don't know how much I could work. I think the reality is I am scared and it is true that at the mo I can't always guarantee getting out of my normal work and getting to another job on time. I am thinking of Saturday or Sunday work, but then I would be working 6 days a week and wouldn't have as much time to do things. Do I need to be more commited? lol.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, DFM0 -

I have a job like yours and I had put off getting a second job for years(literally) as I kept coming up with excuses. However, about 2 years ago I took the plunge and went to a local restaurant and asked for work. I had applied for a couple of other jobs (Sainsburys, Next etc.. and been turned down as I had a full time job!!). I was totally honest with them about my day job. As it turned out, in the 18 months I worked there, I was only ever late once due to my day job and that was because I was stuck on the motorway. I was still a million times more reliable than half their staff!!! I used to work Friday and Saturday night mainly (occassionaly Sunday Lunch instead of Sat night if I had something on or it suited them more) I just asked them if I could not work Sat & Sun, so I always got one day off. I'm not saying it was easy but I soon got in to a routine and doing 16/17 hour days on a Friday soon became second nature. It was worth it even more when I got my second pay check each month!!!

Today I applied for my new NUS (Student card)

So means discounts in shops, theatres etc. I know I used to get 5% OFF Amazon, but have vouchers from survey sites so will stretch them a bit further. Also from websites shops that'll be useful for Christmas
The card did cost £10 but over the course of the year I know I'll get that back.:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

skintnutta - you did the right thing.
Today, I resisted the temptation of Sainsbury's when I went to Staples to get my free Windows 7 upgrade, which has now been installed. Today I've had an NSD, and the OH is buying dinner (Chinese takeaway, i've been looking forward to it all day!)
Later I'm going to do some cross stitch, as I almost have a dog on it now
** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

Jonno7 - that's a real help  Maybe if I pushed myself more I would make sure more that I was out on time from work. Sometimes I just have no option because things can happen late in the day, but I suppose I don't know until I try. I used to do it at another restaurant, but since someone left my normal work i've had alot more to do, like lots of people have. I think I am scared of doing it as well, maybe I should just go for it.0

Roll on the weekend, hope everyone has a nice one :jNo you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -
