Mis-sold Credit Card?? HELP!!!

I went through a separation approx 4 years ago, and ended living alone with my daughter and on benefits.
I went over my authorised overdraft once, and because I didn't have the money to get myself back into credit, got charged £90 (which they would take out of my account the following month). Obviously, with a low income like the one I had, the withdrawal of the £90 put me back over my authorised overdraft, and so a vicious circle started that I could not get out of. This went on for about a year and a half.
I visited my bank to discuss the situation, and they, knowing the extent of my financial situation, suggested I have a credit card. I (stupidly) agreed, and was provided a card with a £12,000 spending limit. The minimum monthly repayment, had I spent the full amount, would have been my entire income for the month.
I ran up a debt on the card, which I could not afford to pay, and now have a low interest loan through the debt management dept of my bank to pay back the money.
Was I unfairly issued this card?? Is there anything I can do about it, as I feel I was taken advantage of and not provided with sound advice - they just ended up getting me worse off!!!

Any help would be great, thanks!!!

You spent the money, not the bank, whilst being made aware of the interest rate and minimum payments on the card.

I wish people would take responsibilty for their own actions.
