is the e900 any good at 200?

It is according to the PhotographyBlog.com site:

They also have a review of the S7000:

charltonfan1 - think there's a bit of confusion here. When handsomeDaddy replied 'nope' to your last question I think he was referring to the S7000 - the camera in the title of the thread.

I assume you were asking about the E900, of which you can indeed add a wide or telephoto conversion lens via an adaptor.

I have been looking at the Finepix 9500 myself, but now am leaning towards the E900 - seems to have most of the features and quality I want without too much bulk.

thanks. i was talking about the S7000 but you have answered my question :)

Might tell mt GF to get a S7000 rather than spend loads on a Digital SLR which she may not get to grips with

Having had my reconditioned S7000 for 3 days I can't rate it highly enough, it has the feel of a real camera and although not an SLR is producing some great images. The Lens is really good. Only problem is I am still waiting on my 512mb Xd card from 7day shop, so can only take 23 3Megapixel shots at a time - or 2 6Megapixel ones!!!!!!
