This is a odd one... really odd...
My aunt is a dental technician in the local town, obviously being my mums sister they share the same maiden name.. Today a letter arrived (international signed for also) at her practice (also with proper bank envelope and headed paper)
Dear Ms. D*****
the mortage, personal loan, credit card and current account you hold with the deutsche bank, Sa, Espanola under contract number:-
******** 26,499 Euro
******** 6, 249 Euro
******** 642,03 Euro
Currently we have a 33,394 Euro outstanding balance including late payment intrest accured to date.
We herby inform you that if we have not heard from you within the next 5 days, we will consider you to have rejected the possibility of a amicable out of court settlement of this matter, at which point we will proceed to collect the debt through legal channels, with the costs this may cause you
Yours sincerely,
DEUTSCHE Bank, Sociedad Anonima Espanola
Now whats odd, is my mum has been married for 37 years and hasnt used her maiden name for such time, and why was it sent to my aunts practice?
The letter was on headed paper from the spanish division of the german bank and like I said was international signed for delivery...
Odd? what you reckon...

Do you have an account with this bank ? If not it could be a scam by someone trying to get your bank details. Be on your guard, do not give any details out.0
-
just ignore it as probs a con n if its real what can they do?? nothing - u got more to loose by replying.............SIMPLES!0

Has to be a scam from someone who can't write English - should be "The mortgage" and "aN amicable" which would raise my suspicions immediately.0

You could call their UK offices and ask for an e-mail address to forward this potential scam on to?

I agree with the sentiments but it may be that the OP has mis-spelled 'mortgage' and missed the 'n' out when copying the contents of the letter.
I too think it's probably some sort of con.0 -

I've had a couple of letters from Spain recently - apparently from notaries, but with the classic Nigerian scam written all over them (you can claim an inheritance, but we need money to start the process...)
This looks like it's designed to panic you into getting in touch and possibly sending money. Maybe phishing emails aren't producing sufficient revenue anymore, and the use of letterhead and signed-for delivery are designed to meake the con less obvious?
I agree with the previous poster, got in touch with Deutsche Bank in the UK.0 -
why do you think it was intended for your mum?0

It is a classic scam just ignore.I thought you would have been told this from the other forums you have posted this message on.0
