Anyone else noticed what an awful mock up the picture of the ticket on the plate is?
The ticket is blurred and the plate is perfectly in focus.
Perfectly straight edges to the ticket and the ticket doesn't cast any shadow on the plate

Hmmm - don't you think the advert, question, and response have the faint scent of Nigeria..?

Have emailed the new highest bidder has has bid £100+ to advise them it is only a kik kat and if they don't take notice it's their own fault for not reading the auction and warning.

Some buyers on ebay are too trusting or stupid whichever way you look at it

The question on the item is a bit suspisious and maybe froma friend of the seller but his responce just shows how much of a conman they are

Looks quite good if you skim over it and don't read it properly. On reading it properly its just a Kit Kat bar. Its up to £43 at time of posting this  Someone who didn't read it properly is gonna be well sick.
some poor person has just put this

Q: I can't believe it is the real thing, Just read soemone in west london has found a golden ticket, and u live in west london. It can't be a coincidence can it??? Can you please let me bid? I am genuine. Just to let you know there are people trying to sabbotage your sale, they sending me e-mails telling me to retract my bid as you are selling just a kit kat bar. but through resources i know different.

A: I knew that would be happening, these people sending you e-mails are sending me e-mails asking for private sales, they want it for themselves, so u be weary. I am selling exactly what it says in the description.

in the sales description it clearly says kit kat bar.
    BIG BROTHER GOLDEN TICKET

kit kat bar!! DONT BE FOOLED BY ALL THE IMMITATIONS THIS IS THE REAL DEAL BIG BROTHER HERE YOU COME!

there is a criminal elemant aswell - if the person is selling on false proteces - but there is no law against selling a kit kat for £82

Looking at the bid history reveals lot of retractions and cancellations.
Tempting though it is to Email bidders and "set them straight" this is regarded by eBay as "auction interference", apparently a much more serious offence that ripping people off . Don't do this via your main account or you could lose it.
Ebay's slant on the law is all about maximizing fees :(
    Can I help?

S if someone actually sells this for like £1000 and some idiot pays it , can this person get done by ebay and the police or are they not breaking any laws

I thought they were by misleading people , i wish ebay would crack down on this but obviously they care more about there own profit then that of there customers getting ripped off

I think if that happened and went to court it may be decided that the buyer was acting recklessly. Even if this were a genuine Golden Ticket the fact that somebody was willing to pay £1000 for a 1 in 100 chance of beig on Big Brother would not act in their favour!
Having said that, one hopes that the law is there to protect stupid people as well. I've always found caveat emptor to be concept that leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

    Why?

Do you think fleabay have suddenly lost their taste for money?

If they can't be prosecuted for it and it makes them money, they'll let it happen!
