Just thought people might like to know about a Making A Difference competition run by Community Channel / Media Trust for initiatives or charities that are making a difference in UK society today. The winners were announced last Wednesday out of over 100 entrants and you can see the winning projects here.
Apart from the Runner Up, I thought all of them were absolutely wonderful projects and very worthy of any support people can give them. The winner was Vision Housing, whilst Angel Radio came in as Highly Recommended. As for the Runner Up - well, no comment! There were 9 other projects shortlisted, which are mentioned by name only on the announcement page.
The reason for me not wanting to make any comments about the Runner Up, is because I run that initiative. It's called Help From Home and I couldn't possibly comment on my own project (well, I could, if you've got a spare hour to kill)!
