where do I stand

I sold a perfume gift set in a box they have said it was received and the box was damaged. It was perfect when I posted it. They have not said exactly what they are wanting, they have just said they are really not happy about this

How did you package it ?
If it was a box set maybe they bought it to give as a gift
It should arrive as pictured in your listing
I would offer a small partial refund if I felt I had not packaged well enough

All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.

    Wrapped it well?

    This stops it getting dirty.

    Packaged it well?

This helps to stop it getting damaged in transit.
  • So long as you packaged it well, and have some form of proof of postage, you should be able to make a claim with the Royal Mail. They would have to co-operate with this though.

    exactly,all depends on your packaging
  • Ask the buyer for photos of the damage and if you are sure you packaged up sufficiently make a complaint to RM and offer the buyer a partial refund. If it's just the box damaged then they could take the perfume out and put it in a nice bag with tissue paper.
