New shower fitting cost

My electric shower has finally died and needs replacing, I have purchased a new shower, swapping a Gainsborough for a Mira.
How much should it cost to replace the shower and move the inlet pipe as the fitting is different (pipe fits in the top right instead of top left), there should be no other work required.
thanks

NOT as straightforward as it seems! Unless shower is same power rating, the cable is the correct length and you have a dedicated rcd circuit already.
If I was you I would actually get some proper quotes and post them here instead of asking people who 90% of the time have no idea what they are talking about regarding costs in the real world.0 -
Providing everything is in place, the new shower is the same rating as before, then it's straightforward.
If the cable isn't the right length a good installer will just put a high rated junction box in the roof and drop down a longer piece of cable, then adjust the pipework to match.
2-3 hours work max. £150 ish I'd guess.0 -

I am trying to find out if anyone else has had this work done so I know what price I should roughly be paying. Never having had a shower replaced before I have no idea of what the price should be, and any comments about price would help as a guide as to what I should expect to pay.
I have 3 different plumbers all coming round tonight / tomorrow morning to see exactly what work is required.
the shower has everything that is required, it is a like for like replacement apart from the inlet which is on a different side.
thanks

Well if you are getting 3 different quotes, you'll have all the info you need.
We had one replaced years ago, cost £200 including the new shower unit.0 -
Think the previous quotes are a bit high.
We had our second gainsborough die on us last month and I would never buy another (2 went in less than 3 years)
We bought a Mira Go (9.5) to replace the (10.5) Gainsborough and I would say the Mira is more powerful.
We were charged £70 to replace the shower and that included putting 3 or 4 new tiles on as the positioning of the shower needed to be different due to the pipe inlets.
I got 3 quotes and they were all £100 or less from plumbers but it was tricky finding someone who could do it quickly as they were all loaded up with work.
Its a couple of hours work at most with minimal parts reqd so you shouldnt pay more than that.
One tip I would give is get a few replacement tiles lined up in case he does need to replace them.
Also I took out the Mira extended warranty. I dont usually bother but the Mira came with 1 year free, the second year was free but you needed to register on the phone and the next 3 years cost me £49.
So £50 means any problems in the next 5 years they come out and fix it and if they cant they give you £100 towards another shower.
Bearing in mind the grief we had with the gainsboroughs it seemed good value.0
