Plusnet BB warning 18 month contract not 12

Cheapest Standard Deal: Plusnet, owned by BT is already cheapest at £5.99/mth, yet go via "Broadband Choices" using the code 'bbchoices4' and you get 4 months' free,
I signed up with Plusnet this afternoon,(22/10/09) the contract they sent via email said it was a 18 month contract, and not 12 as on their website and no mention of the first 4 months being free. I phoned to complain and was assured that there wouldn’t be a problem, the chap I spoke to said he would correct this in an email, but there was still no mention of the first 4 months being free. I will be cancelling my contract tomorrow when the phone lines are open again.
