Help major crisis, I dont know what to do???

My sister has just found out that her partner has been having an affair. So sweet of him. Anyway she has just booked and paid for by herself a holiday for them both and my 10 month old nephew to Egypt. It goes on 5th nov.

Before I call Hayes travel can anyone help or advise in anyway

i.e she will wont to either cancel the holiday/delay it/cancel one person off OR change the name and take someone else...

Not obvious does she want to cancel or change the name of the second person, and i thought you said 3 people were going?

Alas such instances wont be covered by holiday insurance and given the closeness of the holiday you/she will have no chance of a refund, apart from airport taxes if you are lucky.

She could find out how much it would be to change the names and sell the holiday on

I am very sorry for your sister. It is usual for most tour operators to allow name changes on package holidays but only up to 21 days before departure so it may be too late at this stage to change names. That leaves cancellation and I fear the cancellation charges may be very high at this stage. Hays will just be a travel agent, she needs to see the name of the tour operator on the receipt an check their terms and conditions that ought to be available on line.
