Cheap flights in Europe.

Hi.
This is late notice, but i am just wondering if anyone knows what airlines may be cheapest to fly with whilst outside of the UK (the flight checker only shows flights that depart from the UK).
For example i want to fly between Venice & Florence (Italy) to Barcelona (Spain) then back to the UK from either 3 of these places.
I just presume flying is cheaper than getting the train between Italy and Spain.
