edf final bill £175
Options
after some advise...
we have had a final bill 1 to 2 months ago from our previous flat of £175 from edf. i was wondering.... do they report to credit reference agency?
as my gf is out of work... this was a joint account, set up to come out of her account. yet all letters to chase this debt have been sent to me...
i have agreed to pay £10 a month.... thing is i am worried about my credit profile.... as i have a car on 0% finance and it ends in 2 years where ill need another one....
should i pay this bill with a cc? or hang on till my gf is back in work? then pay? many thanks

They should only register defaults on your credit profile.
If you have come to a mutual agreement to £10 per month, you are not in default.
It may be that they record the fact they have extended credit to you (but I'm not sure if they would). However, if you keep up the repayments, then you'll have cleared the debt by the time you need a new car loan ... so if they do register it, it'll only help you.
Of course, if you fail to keep up the repayments, that would be a default and would probably be recorded as such."Now to trolling as a concept. .... You are jointly and severally liable, if the chasing letters have been sent to you it may just be because yours is the first name on the account? No free lunch, and no free laptop0
