Long story short, my mum took our cat to the vet for a simple (but expensive!!!) operation and when they came back to pick it up, it was dead. The vet admitted that it was their fault because they forgot to give it something to wake it up from the anaesthetic. My mum says taking them to court isn't worth the expenses, and…

Local gossip I guess, we live in a fairly small town but either way I don't think gossip really matters.

We are definitely going to complain, my stepdad flat out told the vet an apology wasn't going to bring Lucky back so it wasn't good enough. Just waiting to get a letter back from the vets explaining what happened now, the vets are aware that it'll be collected in person so they can't blame postal strikes etc, will just have to see what RCVS does after that.
