Claiming back PPI on defaulted credit card

Hello, I'm new to this site and I have looked but cant find the answer to my question.
My husband has a credit card with Lloyds TSB. He has always had PPI cover on it and he once claimed for this when he was off ill so I know we cant reclaim all of the charges. The thing is that over a year ago he stopped paying anything towards his credit card bill and we are now trying to come to an arrangement with them via a DMP with CCCS. Lloyds did contact us and we tried to sort our missed payments out with them a year ago but they wouldnt let us reduce our monthly payments and I didnt know any better back then, then they stopped phoning and we ignored the problem. The credit card has been cancelled now and we received a letter telling us the PPI had been cancelled from the 11th Sept this year. Now please correct me if Im wrong but if my husband had wanted to claim on the PPI Im pretty sure he would not have been able to because he had defaulted on his payments???? So, do you think we will be able to claim the PPI back from when he stopped paying the credit card? I think it was over £100 per month.
Many thanks

Hello and welcome to this site.;)
Reading your post, it seems you have made a good point on this.
I am hoping that maybe someone with knowledge of dealing with these issues will post up soon, for you with some useful advice, good luck with this, and like anything else if you have reason to complain, you should go for it.The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Bumping up for you, maybe more will be here later after working hours.
Yes try online, if not ring to request for a copy, they change over the years, so if you can try to make sure its for the year when you taken this out, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
