How long for balance transfer?

Hi All,
I have transferred some money from a Virgin credit card to an Alliance and Leicester bank account, the amount is showing up transferred on Friday the 16th Oct on Virgin online account but not showing on Alliance and Leicester, any ideas on how long this normally takes.
