I've just set up a limited account in XP & after putting the password in, it loads up most applications but some like Netmeter & Nero Drivespeed get errors.

If I change the account type to Administrator there are no problems.

Any ideas on how to fix the problems

A limited account is just what it says LIMITED.. some programs will just not be accessible to you and some will not run.. also some system functionality will be disabled

it could also be that some programs have been installed just for one user, ya usually get this choice when installing the program..

There are a lot of problems with Limited accounts. You might have problems with your anti-virus as well.

That's why so many people end up using Administrator accounts for everything

Can't even have anti-spyware programs running in the background, though there's absolutely no problem running p2p stuff which I would have thought was a hi risk activity

I tried to use my home PC using an account with basic prvilidges and it was impossible. So many applications are going to break under Windows Vista as Microsoft are planning on forcing people to stop using administrator rights by default, as it leaves the path wide open for virus etc. to get installed on the PC.
