They can usually get your address from the sales page.
If you don't want a cheque contact them and let them know.
It may be easier to accept the cheque though (providing it arrives with the post strike!) as relisting, etc could take longer. You'll also save on Paypal fees. Most people who pay by cheque usually have a problem with Paypal in one way or another.

Maybe he or she is trying to pull a fast one esp with the RM strike they can claim "it got lost". I have blocked any buyer who have no paypal account as I only accept paypal as a method of payment. Have you tried that in the future?

What was the respone they gave when you asked about the address??

I would have lost quite a few sales if I had done that. I haven't yet had a problem with someone who wanted to pay by cheque. Surely they are less likely to pull a fast one this way as they can't open a dispute through paypal if they didn't pay through paypal.

I would just send them a polite message thanking them for paying, and that you will pay the cheque in as soon as it arrives, and send the item out as soon as the cheque has cleared in your account.

I would then put a little note saying as Royal Mail are currently on strike, you will let her know as soon as the cheque arrives.

Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Buyers often just send a cheque. Some people really don't trust online payments.
I love cheques. They don't charge back when cleared. they don't incure Payapl fees or rigid regulations.

I agree it is annoying when you asked for Paypal only...

but cheques are better than Paypal. If buyer is happy to wait for item, then it saves you Paypal fees.
