Hi, I need to send 3 signed documents to a fax number. I can scan the docs but not sure how to fax them, is there a decent free email to fax service I can use? I have XP and wireless broadband.

Thanks in advance.

Try searching Google for 'email to fax'. There are a number of services that allow you to email something and it be converted into a fax.

If this is a legal document then I'd recommend going somewhere that has a fax machine and can send the document and provide you with a receipt. Most towns have somewhere that does faxing - a solicitors, estate agent etc - and they offer the service in some libraries.

why not scan them, print them out and then fax them in the normal way?

Why not fax the originals rather than scan them, print them out and fax the copies

I don't think she has a fax machine.

Do you have an old modem/fax card (or external box) from the days before broadband. Most people forget about these, but they can still be useful for sending and receiving faxes.

If you have a dial-up modem, then there is a fax service in Windows you can use, though by default it's not installed. Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove > Windows components, tick Fax Services, and have your XP CD ready

Hi, thanks for advice, yep I don't have a fax machine, or a modem. So it looks like I am stuck with finding somewhere with a fax service, thanks.

A bit late to the party but a totally free and reliable service is at https://www.tpc.int

I've used it loads of times, one tip though if you are sending from your your own email clients (outlook etc) make sure to send as palian or rich text and NOT html
